Where dreams come true: Disneyland Paris!

A tip for those who wish to visit the parks, you can buy your tickets online at the FNAC website (kind of like our Singapore sistic) for a much cheaper price! Also, for that you can skip the ticket queue at the park itself! I got a pretty good deal for a 1day 2 parks pass from FNAC :)

Prior to an adventurous day in disney, it is important to start with a happy belly.
Cafe charlot was near our hotel.

Traditional french cafe
I felt like having a heavy breakfast and they do have american style egg benedits!
Exterior of Cafe Charlot
To get to disneyland, you will need to take the RER train line A to station Marne La Vallee. When in doubt, just follow the excited kids next to you.

"why isn't the train here yet?"
Disneyland Paris compromises of 2 parks - Disneyland park and Walt Disney Studio.
The closing time for Walt Disney Studio is much earlier at 6pm and therefore we decided to visit it first.

The covered Hollywood boulevard
This website has quite a good map of the parks and description of the rides: www.dlpguide.com/guidebook/walt-disney-studios-park/

Our first pit stop is the tower of terror on the left! :D
We were quite lucky that both parks were not too crowded
Modeled after the Hollywood Tower Hotel
The highlight of the ride was the "station conductor"
I won't spoil the ride fort those who haven't taken it, but I have to commend the conductor at the tower of terror because he was one of the the most dedicated "actors" I've seen in any theme park. He really took pride in playing his role well and the ride was very fun thanks to him! I'm not sure if the other conductors are like him (there are 3 lifts) so if you're there do try to join the chubby freaky-looking uncle's queue :)
They have many movie special effect shows
I got very dizzy from this roller coaster and it wasn't due to the motion.

the husband wanted to sit on the studio tram tour
which showcase old props from movies
and have a live demonstration and explanation on how special effect is done
more demonstrations
display of cars from various movies
The studio also have shows that explains how disney characters are "borned" and developed which was pretty interesting.

Just like any theme park, there is a parade at 2pm daily at the Walt Disney studio!
Mickey and Minnie to kick off the parade
Little mermaid
Aladdin and Jasmine
Stitch
Toy story
It's the first time I've seen Ratatouille on parade! I guess it is unique to the Paris park.
Even the villains get a car
Donald and Daisy to end the parade
It was also a sign for us to head over to Disneyland Park.

unfortunately it started drizzling so we could only take indoor rides
for example Peter Pan ride
and a very chill Pirates boat cruise

watched a genie show
Thankfully the rain stopped so we could take the Indiana Jones ride which was the most thrilling IMO
there was a flower display to celebrate the arrival of summer
 At 5pm, the parade begins!
C'est magique is the theme, so it started off with the fairy godmothers
followed by the many disney princesses with their princes
Frozen has a float!

i found Alice disturbing

Soldiers from Toy Story were friendly

Pooh and friends
Chip and Dale!

tinkerbell was hiding at the back all these while
More time to kill before the night show...

Star tours ride - if you are a star wars fan
Bumped into Wall-e and EVE at Discoveryland
Yes we even took the happiest ride in the world
Alice's Curious Labyrinth

The disney railroad runs around the entire park

Sunset while waiting for the night illumination show

Spectacular as usual. I took some video of the show if you're interested

the finale :)
Sad to say goodbye. Till we meet again!
