The glamour life: Cannes and St Tropez - day 13

Breakfast at the restaurant was included in the night stay at Auberge du Vieux Chateau. It was hard leaving this place.
breakfast with a view - sad to leave
From hilly region of Cabris, we headed back towards the coast to Cannes to check out the farmers market.

City hall at Cannes
From the city hall, you can walk to the historic Le Suquet district. At the heart of Le Suquet, there is the old church, Eglise du Suquet, and the 11th-century Tour du Mont Chevalier watchtower  where you can get a panoramic view onto the beach and the bay all the way out to the Lerins Islands.

weather was so hot we had to stop by for gelato
where the movie festival is held each year
Another to do is to drive/walk along the Boulevard de la Croisette, where grand historic hotels line the bay front.

In addition to Cannes, one of my ex colleagues strongly recommended St Tropez and therefore we made a detour to stop by in the afternoon. Unfortunately, there was a peak hour traffic jam and cloudy weather when we got there. Personally, I found it just like a seaside version of Monaco - a rich men's playground. Somehow it didn't fit well with us with the dressy salesmen/women in the luxury boutique outlets.

there was a sailing competition that was cancelled due to the strong waves
You can spot a ferrari everywhere

Almost each brand has its own mansion
It was mostly filled with international brands and too commercialized for our liking, so it was a short stop before we continue to our next destination Le Lavandou where we stayed for 2 nights.
